Progressions
Progressions control how your bet size changes after wins and losses, helping you manage bankroll and chase wins strategically.
What is a Progression?
A progression is a betting sequence that determines how much to bet based on previous outcomes. Progressions are attached to strategies to control bet sizing.
Your progressions list shows all available progressions including built-in systems and your custom sequences:
Built-in Progressions
Flat
Same bet every spin. Safest option with no risk escalation.
- Example: $5, $5, $5, $5...
- Risk Level: Very Low
- Best for: Conservative players, testing strategies
Martingale
Double bet after every loss, reset to base after win. Classic chase system.
- Example: $1, $2, $4, $8, $16, $32...
- Risk Level: High
- Best for: Short sessions, large bankroll
Fibonacci
Increase bets following Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...). More controlled than Martingale.
- Example: $1, $1, $2, $3, $5, $8, $13...
- Risk Level: Medium
- Best for: Balanced risk/reward
Paroli
Positive progression - increase step on wins, reset on losses. After 3 consecutive wins, reset to lock profits.
- Example: $1, $2, $4, then reset after 3 wins
- Risk Level: Low
- Best for: Riding winning streaks while limiting losses
D'Alembert
Increase by 1 unit after loss, decrease by 1 unit after win. Gentle progression.
- Example: $5, $6, $7, $6, $5...
- Risk Level: Low-Medium
- Best for: Long sessions, steady play
Oscar's Grind
Positive progression aiming to win exactly 1 unit per cycle. Increase bet by 1 on win, stay same on loss.
- Example: Win 1 unit per cycle, reset when goal reached
- Risk Level: Low
- Best for: Patient players seeking steady gains
Labouchère
Line betting system with cancellation. Complex but flexible.
- Example: Start with 1, 2, 3, 4, bet sum of ends (1+4=5)
- Risk Level: Medium-High
- Best for: Experienced players
Triplegale
Triple bet on loss. High risk, high reward progression.
- Example: $1, $3, $9, $27...
- Risk Level: Very High
- Best for: Aggressive players with large bankroll
Mixxie Mause
Flat for 3 rounds, then exponential growth. Uses conservative recovery to cap bets and recover to peak with tolerance.
- Example: $1, $1, $1, $2, $4, $8, $16...
- Risk Level: Medium
- Best for: Players who want a buffer before aggressive recovery
Creating a Custom Progression
- Go to Dashboard → Progressions
- Click Create Progression
- Enter progression details:
- Name: Descriptive name (e.g., "Aggressive Double Up")
- Description: Optional description of your progression strategy
- Kind: Select progression type (Sequence, D'Alembert, Labouchère, Oscar's Grind)
- Sequence: For Sequence/Labouchère kinds, define your number sequence
- Click Create progression
Progression Advancement Options
For Sequence progressions, configure when to advance or reset steps:
- Increase step after consecutive wins: Advance to next step after X wins in a row (Paroli-style positive progression)
- Increase step after consecutive losses: Advance to next step after X losses in a row (Martingale-style negative progression)
- Reset step after consecutive wins: Return to step 1 after X wins to lock in profits (e.g., Paroli uses 3 wins)
- Reset step after consecutive losses: Safety mechanism to prevent runaway bets - reset after X losses
Custom Progression Example
Here's an example of a custom Labouchère progression using the sequence: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
In Labouchère, you bet the sum of the first and last numbers. On win, cross out those numbers. On loss, add the bet amount to the end of the sequence.
Progression Calculator
Premium users have access to a custom progression calculator that helps you build optimal staking ladders. The calculator generates progressions that maintain at least 1% ROI when a covered pocket hits.
Configure the calculator by setting:
- Pockets covered: Number of pockets your strategy covers (e.g., 18 for red/black)
- Minimum ROI: Target return on investment percentage
- Levels to calculate: How many progression levels to generate
- First level total bet: Starting bet amount
The calculator shows you the exact bet amounts, multipliers, returns, and profits for each level, helping you understand the bankroll requirements before playing.
Progression Tips
Risk Management
- Always define a maximum level to prevent runaway losses
- Calculate total bankroll needed before starting (sum of all levels)
- Never risk more than 5% of bankroll on a single progression run
Testing Progressions
- Start with minimum base units (e.g., $0.10 or $1)
- Track at least 50-100 spins to evaluate performance
- Use session analytics to compare progressions
Choosing a Progression
- Conservative players: Flat or D'Alembert
- Balanced approach: Fibonacci or Labouchere
- Aggressive players: Martingale or Triplegale (with limits!)
- Custom needs: Create your own progression
Editing & Deleting Progressions
To clone a progression:
- Go to Dashboard → Progressions
- Click the progression name
- Click Clone progression
- Modify the cloned version as needed
Best Practices
- Match progression to your bankroll size
- Set clear stop-loss limits
- Test with demo money or minimum bets first
- Never chase losses beyond your predefined limits
- Remember: No progression can overcome the house edge long-term
